Description: Fastest route to the hospital

Another car thread. Post up the most ludicrously fast or dangerous vehicles you can think of...

I choose the WRX-powered quad bike from Pukekohe.

DOCILE!!!!!!! That is one scary drag car :o
The EJ20-T powered quad is awesome :D
I love the wheel stands taht HVATOS pulls too.

V8 supercars are always a goodie, I once saw a V8 4WD taht had so much torque that the guy put it in 1st gear and left idling against a big tree and the wheels sat there spinning

Apparently the Ford Typhoon and Tornado turbo sixes are weapons with buckets of torque...

El Matador - August 19, 2005 12:12 PM (GMT)
Audi S1. Wins by a long shot.

I would contend that this is the ultimate MR2...

Ah...thrust SSC. The book is really quite neat, it goes into the design process and the problems they ecountered with the car...for instance, when it would hit a stone, the car would be airbone for about 150 metres.....scary stuff at over triple the top speed of an F1 car.

Steveo - August 20, 2005 11:28 PM (GMT)
Yeah I gathered, anyone know where you can get those kits for the MR2's?

El Matador - August 21, 2005 12:01 AM (GMT)
F355

It would be rather neat...and I guess you could work a toyota MR2 engine fairly well for a small amount of pesos...but you might as well just buy the damn ferrari.

Steveo - August 21, 2005 01:17 AM (GMT)
Nah, doesnt take much to work an MR2 Engine, my main concern would be the handling, those turbo mr2's are dangerous in the wet :P

heheh..you think that's bad steveo..check this out, from a Group B Rally site...

When Toyota realised that the Celica 4T-GTE wasn't very competitive outside of Africa, the team started work on a new contender - a 600 horsepower MR2. With the cancellation of Group B, the car was never entered in rally competition.

600HP! Farq!

Triple turbo baby

kiwi_hockey_guy - August 21, 2005 05:00 AM (GMT)
That would be laggy as a mother fucker......... those turbos are too big for the application....

Steveo - August 21, 2005 05:03 AM (GMT)
No way, 20B's have bucket loads of torque. Thing with rotors is they rev hard and fast so they have no problem spoolin it up

El Matador - August 21, 2005 07:59 AM (GMT)
Hmmmm...I'm reminded of the Lancia Delta S4...who's answer to turbo-lag was a supercharger to compliment it's twin-turbo setup.
