Ok Im not a corporate whore or anything, this was the first time I had actually gone in there with teh intention of buying anything (the new kitsch album) but I found the place half empty and in the midst of a "closing down" sale.

So I ask, what happened to ECM to need to close down? Did it get buoycotted for the corporate whore on campus that it is? And if so r0x0r maybe we can do that to the other such establishments.

In a way I sorta feel sorry for ECM(well not for the company, just the people who had to work there), since I never really saw any customers there at all. Personally I far prefer Real Groovy. Sounds?! Gargh.

Too true. Real Groovy is a brillian store, but Marbecks still narrowly beats it in my books too. Marbecks comparitively smaller size makes it ever more impressive, considering you always find some kick arse stuff there, when Real Groovy clearly has a lot more dough to pour out on a wide array of varying quality CDs.

i still love real groovy though...and why would they bother selling off all the cd's if its just going to be a sounds...idiots...

i don't think they are since they give me sounds bags whenever i buy something...all 3 times...plus u get the bcard discount there and i thought you could only use that at sounds or real groovy...

I wept for the vegetarian bagels when the bakery closed down. I'm not a vegetarian but those bagels were something SPECIAL. We could have had something BEAUTIFUL together. And the girl working there was the sweetest, she let me get away when I was a dollar or two short.
