Well, we got beaten. But I'm not entirely sure that it was the encounter I had hoped for. A lot of the opporunity for fluid rugby was killed by Cole's refusal to acknowledge the existance of the off-side rule. Byron Kelleher knocked to the ground with a late shoulder charge. Piri Weepu punched by Conrad Januarie directly infront of the ref with no further action taken.

We certainly didn't deserve to win, but the officals didn't help us one iota.

Stand-out performers for me were Gear, Rocokoco and Jerry Collins. Dan Carter...had a bad day. I guess he's human. Leon MacDonald shouldn't really be in the team, and it looks like Tana has a niggle.

He dropped one clean pass, but apart from that I thought he was still dangerous when he ran. His goalkicking was good. It was his in-game kicking and drop outs that let him down.

that was one of the shittest games of rugby i have ever watched. the only interesting part was when the dude hurt his neck and they kept showing him fall over. i kept drifting off on someones shoulder.
