These are the rules of the CraccumForum Dead Pool.

General
1) Each participant will field a team of twenty celebrities/public figures.
2) The Dead Pool organizer (Fez) will have final say in regards to a selection's status as public figure.
3) For each figure on a participant's list that dies in the year 2005-2006, the participant will be awarded points.
4) Any selection declared as deceased must be confirmed by the Dead Pool organizer. Evidence will be required. ex: Credible news report, etc.

Selection
1) Participants have until May 1st 12.00am to forward me a list of their top 30 candidates (at least 30), in order.
3) After the lists of all participants are in, selections will be made for the participants based on the order of the top 30 lists and the participant's sign-up order.
4) The selections will be made in a serpentine fashion. ex: The last person to select in the first round will select first in the second.
5) No selection may appear on more than three different final lists.
6) Participants shall share no more than one identical selection with any particular list. ex: Participant A can only have one identical selection as Participant B, Participant C, etc.
7) When the lists have been announced after the replacement participant period, participants with incomplete lists due to the restrictions of Selection Rules 5 and 6 will be afforded a further 24 hours to complete lists in accordance with the rules. Any lists that remain incomplete after this period will remain as is for the duration of the Dead Pool.
8) If a selection on a participant's list dies before 12:00 AM May 1st, 2005, the participant will be allowed to name a replacement.
9) Each participant will be allowed ONE substitute selection after the Dead Pool begins. Any selection that has already been declared as deceased will not be allowed as a substitution. ex: If you're banking on Magic Johnson to succumb to AIDS, but they discover a cure, you will be allowed to name a substitution should you like. However, if the substitute you name has been declared as deceased before you make your substitution, the substitution will be declared as invalid.

Scoring
1) To calculate scoring, the deceased's age will be subracted from 100. The difference will be the score awarded to the participant.
2) Spelling counts. Five points will be subracted from each score for incorrect spelling. ex: A successful score of Osama bin Laden will result in 53 or 52 points (depending on the date of death). However, "Osama bin Ladin" will only score 48 or 47.
3) Death row inmates do not count. No points will be awarded for a death row execution.
4) The participant with the highest score at 12:00 AM May 1st, 2006 wins the Dead Pool and will be rewarded with a prize.
5) In the event of a tie at the conclusion of the Dead Pool, the participant with the most deceased selections will take precedence in the tie.
6) If the tie persists, the age of each selection of each participant involved in the tie will be added together. The participant with the lowest combined age will be declared the winner.
7) Once the Dead Pool has begun, in the event of a discrepency between the Official Published Lists for the participants and any further lists, the former shall prevail.

And finally...
...If you die, and can prove it, you are the automatic winner of the Craccum Dead Pool. Congratulations!
