I'm in serious strife. I haven't started writing the essay for it and am still gathering e-journal entries to reference (far out, LEARN is a chore to use -- too much information, anyone?).

As far as I know, the essay's still due on Monday at 5pm. No announcements have been posted on Cecil that suggest otherwise. But I believe I heard Lane say something in the lecture on Friday about the assignment not being due until the bus strikes are resolved, presumably because the bus strikes are throwing out everybody's daily routine and hampering our abilities to perform The Last Minute Rush.

So is there anybody here from Sociology 100 who can confirm this for me, or make me feel better by saying they haven't started it? Or is there any people with connections who can find out for me or anything? Holy moly. If it's due on Monday I'll probably have to pull a sicky tomorrow, which is not cool because I need money. :frustrated:

Ok, this sucks.

I took my first sick day off work ever on Sunday to work on my assignment, panicked as I made the finishing touches this morning, and raced to the train station only to find that a train had hit an abandoned car further down the line and that all the services were messed up; that I was going to be late for uni.

Then after I had my classes, I put my assignment in the box and went home. Just now I've checked Cecil, and found that they only confirmed the extension was in place at 10:29am this morning! Sorry, but that is lame. I had classes and couldn't check Cecil. I mean wtf. I could've saved so much panic. The bastards should've send an official announcement before the damn weekend! Hoik.

End rant.

If it makes you feel any better, thats happened to me a couple of times. Thats just how life goes at uni (at least Auckland anyways)

That's an entirely novel concept to me. I had an essay due today and I don't even know what it's about yet.

that sounds a lot like me. i didn;t even do my last music assignment. i didnt even get the sheet for it. ah well, only 5%.
i did an assignment for english last week in an hour and a half, the day it was due in. it would have taken half the time but my then-boyfriend was distracting me. i only got a B+ for it :( so from now on i shall start assignments AT LEAST a day before theyre due in!!!
im lucky, my tutors etc are really lax about when you hand things in, and haven't yet marked me down for lateness.

Computer science: you may want to pull your face off when you discover the painfully simply bug that you wasted an hour trying to find, but at least you don't need to write essays... well, at least I didn't. I managed to get through my entire degree without writing a single essay.
