Title: Last Cd(s) You Bought
Description: What did you buy ;)

Steveo - April 29, 2005 07:32 AM (GMT)
Today I was a bit naughty and bought 4 cds at Real Groovy

Jebediah - Slightly Odway (awesome ozzy band for those who can remember back)

Slim - Drive Thru (sucks they broke up)

Redtape - Radioactivist (punkish political band, very addictive sound)

AND

Thursday - Full Collapse, (For those of you who know me will know how long ive wanted this cd finally (3 years later) I saw it and snatched it up quick smart.)

What was your guys last music purchase?

El Matador - May 2, 2005 09:21 AM (GMT)
Holy shit.

I was walking past planet jacks and I saw Comfort In Sound in the bargain bins, so I grabbed copies for my mates. $10 for a Feeder album? Shit.

Honestly one of the best albums ever made and possibly Feeder's finest...(haven't heard their new one).

For all you soft cocks out there who don't know who Feeder are, they are responsible for the following

Sweet 16 (Gran Turismo)
Chicken on A Bone (likewise)
Just a Day (GT3)
Buck Rodgers (GT3)
Seven Days in the sun (GT3)
Come Back Around (American Weddings)

Most people know a song, just dont know the band.

I can't stress how much I love feeder. Almost as much as I love Xavier Rush.

I think I need to be by myself for 15 minutes.

_Ed_ - May 2, 2005 11:03 AM (GMT)
Feeder are awesome. I'm jealous though, I had to pay $24.95 for my Comfort in Sound. Was worth it though. "Just the Way I'm Feeling" is one of my all time favourite songs.

yams - May 2, 2005 11:11 AM (GMT)
...just a coupla week more for With Teeth >< like omg!!!

yams - May 6, 2005 06:07 AM (GMT)
i is got it HAHA!

Dustless - May 9, 2005 04:10 AM (GMT)
I quite like Feeder and do know who they are but I don't have any of their albums. Those songs from Gran Turismo sure were catchy (probably partially because you heard them so much when playing the game, since those two songs make up around 20% of the soundtrack, but oh well. :)).

Steveo would you recommend Redtape? I'm fully into political punk and I saw heaps of copies downstairs at Real Groovy a couple of weeks ago. My cousin had also been there the day before and told me she'd picked up Radioactivist. She said she hadn't heard of Redtape before but thought she'd try them out because it looked political.

Anyway, the last CD I bought was Shihad's new album Love is the New Hate. I have pretty much liked all of their singles over the years but never bought an album, so I thought I may as well give them some proper reverence and buy this one. And I can confidently say that this shit's good, boys and girls. Pity I couldn't go to the concert.

Steveo - May 9, 2005 09:32 AM (GMT)
Yeah I really like them, lots of the songs sound similar but its a good album overall for 8 bucks anyway :P

_Ed_ - May 9, 2005 10:51 AM (GMT)
Last CD I bought was Intergalactic Sonic 7s by Ash. 41 songs for $25. Not too shabby. Burn Baby Burn and Shining Light are kickarse songs.

Ditto. Big Future's the best song on the album IMO. Can't wait for their National TOUR. B)

El Matador - May 15, 2005 07:01 AM (GMT)
Ed, I love you and I want to have your babies. Starcrossed is the greatest ASH song ever written. The video was soppy but awesome. Kung Fu, Shining Light, Orpheus, Burn Baby Burn and Lose Control are all fucking fantastic. Infact I'm going to get Meltdown tomorrow.

You've inspired me.

yams - May 15, 2005 08:37 AM (GMT)
ouch just scared meself by turning the volume up to hear the really quiet bit in a new NIN song. Forgot to turn it down before the really sudden loud bit came. Now my chest hurts from the sub.

Had a triple purchase at ECM in the quad today, got Kaiser Chiefs - Employment, Athlete - Tourist and Gramsci - Permanence. Would have got Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger too but the bastards didn't have it, will try Real Groovy tomorrow.

Booyacka - May 31, 2005 12:02 PM (GMT)
Bought 'Kicking The National Habit' by Grand National from Sounds at $29.95 yesterday. Later at planetjack.com I saw them on sale for $34.95. Wahaha!! >D<

Want to buy more CDs but must save for food and stuff...or that $200+ Nom D hoodie on TradeMe I desperately want but would be a fucking fool if I buy it...or not buy it...dilemma

Oh and _Ed_, how's the Gramsci album? I gotta buy that one too.

_Ed_ - May 31, 2005 12:28 PM (GMT)
It's really good, definitely worth buying. Two of the singles Give Me Strength and Complicated are probably my favourites on the album but there are some other really good songs like Let It Go and Masonry Angels.

And I managed to get Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger. Really really good. Apply Some Pressure is a hell of a song.

samf - June 13, 2005 01:16 AM (GMT)

I picked up Live's "Throwing Copper" the other day - worth it just for "Lightning Crashes", IMHO. Might also invest in some Fat Freddy's Drop next time I get paid.
