Most of the music from 'Master of Orion II'. Also a piece by Albinoni... I forget the name, it was the theme music for 'Platoon'.

Synopsis - April 11, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Vienna Teng - Passage

Although it's not so much a song as just a poem with some ambient noise in the background.

yams - April 11, 2005 08:53 AM (GMT)
Smashing Pumpkins - Glass and the Ghost Children
featuring Billy corgan's therapy session OH NOOOOES!!

And of course: Nine Inch Nails - Hurt.

Damien Rice tends to make me feel depressed. But god if he hasn't got a beautiful voice.

jolly olly man - April 11, 2005 12:51 PM (GMT)
Turin Brakes, all of the slow songs on The Optimist LP.

Jamz - April 12, 2005 09:57 AM (GMT)

(its a 3 part song, first 2 are the intro)

Zoot - April 15, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
Round Here, by Counting Crows.

templar34 - April 15, 2005 05:12 AM (GMT)
U2 - With or Without You
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven (cliched, but so true, as a sad song)
Jack Johnson - The News
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
No Doubt - Don't Speak
Evanescence - My Immortal

Off the top of my head, those ones make me tearful really easy.

But the worst is anything by Kylie Minogue.

I get depressed that she's still singing.

Jaded Mandarin - April 16, 2005 02:31 AM (GMT)
Me'Shell Ndgéocello - "Fool Of Me"

smiley - April 16, 2005 06:07 AM (GMT)

U2 - sometimes you can't make it on your own
Aerosmith - I don't want to miss a thing
Three doors down - Here without you
Hoobastank - the reason
Green Day - Boulevard of broken dreams
Linkin Park - Numb

Sarey - April 16, 2005 06:15 AM (GMT)
I can see why those songs would depress you. And not for the content.

cynicalbrat - April 23, 2005 01:23 AM (GMT)
Displaced - Azure Ray
and Prayer of St Francis by Sarah McLachlan

maniacnymph - May 1, 2005 09:19 AM (GMT)
the chills : pink frost
the verve : the drugs dont work, lucky man
jeff buckley : hallelujah
Live : turn my head
DJ Sammy : heaven

Sarey - May 1, 2005 10:43 AM (GMT)
DJ Sammy depresses me too. For obvious reasons.

Bryan Adams did it better too :P

Jeff Buckley's entire Grace album depresses me, as does Sketches for my Sweetheart the Drunk.

Booyacka - May 25, 2005 11:54 AM (GMT)
Return to Innocence Lost - The Roots feat. Ursula Rucker. (Not exactly a song but like poetry against sounds and tunes but listen to it and you might just cry. Life as a trailer trash is no fun)

Bobby Gaylor - Suicide. (Actually very uplifting towards the end, but it's some tear-jerking shit; really pulls on the heartstrings)

The Streets - Dry Your Eyes (Mike Skinner almost made me cry at BDO when he sang this a month after I'd broken up with my long term boyfriend)

The Whitlams - Buy Now Pay Later (Charlie No.2) Appearently a song dedicated to a friend who died from a drug overdose...I think. Great band, great song, great lyrics, great emotions.
