C&C games have the best sounds for men being killed. Especially by squishing.

Despite the vast range of weaponry and vehicles, the SFX in OFP sounds really muffled at times.

Apart from that, C&C games usually have cartoony sound effects (think of the RA1 tesla coils*) and lousy voice acting (apart from RA2). I might be able to do most of the voices from the C&C games if I have sufficient gaming time to refresh my memory.

The sound design in MOHAA's D-Day scene was award winning. MOHAA claims to record authentic weapon SFX, which is credible as the graphics artists from EA were introduced to shooting authentic WWII weaponry.
I hate it how WWII games have Germans speaking English (it just doesn't seem authentic), which is why I really dislike RTCW.

Call of Duty was pretty incredible. FEAR had pretty full on sound effects with head phones.

FEAR is one of those games that truly lives up to its name! As for COD, I'm not surprised at all since it was made by the original team that developed MOH. It's realism (although heavily scripted at times), revolutionised WWII FPS games.
