fine pale suit jackets (no black or dark suits here),

Pale is stale.

I'm not sure that you are even remotely qualified to be dishing out fashion advice, sunshine.

My fashion advices resemble my political opinions- conservatism first. Also on the fashion issue, the darker the better.

Dr_Steve - January 18, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
but how will we bling?

Bling has no place on my attire (unless they are necessary ceremonial uniform decorations). Anything flamboyant is generally distasteful.

Dr_Steve - January 18, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
you have no place for bling? then I'm afraid you have no place in the Cocaine Club.

(Being the secretary of one club is quite enough for me.)

The SS doesn't count as a club man

No Doc, you're not going to tempt me into finding an SS Division 'Auckland Uni'. On a serious note, I do have interests outside of WWII and stamp collecting.

Dr_Steve - January 18, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
I am intrigued. Tell me more (but in a new thread plz)

And being a roaring faggot has no place on my attire, do you see me preaching to you about it?

Maus - January 18, 2006 05:31 AM (GMT)
Y'know Chiang, Tom Waits has always been a very snappy dresser. In his early music especially, fashion played a large part in the tapestry of his narratives. He's big on shoes, and has been quoted as saying that, 'when it's a good time for shoes, it's a good time for music'. I tend to agree. He also said 'never trust a man in a blue trenchcoat, never drive a car when you're dead'.

I don't really know what that last bit means.

I do know that Waits must be one of the Cocaine Club gurus, however.

Hauser - January 18, 2006 05:45 AM (GMT)
Maus, you are very much correct.

This thread is wank. There should be more threads devoted to me, and my rock n' roll hair, attitude and drunkenness.

Happy Ahmed - January 18, 2006 05:57 AM (GMT)
I have rock n roll hair, attitude, and drunkenness also.

Let's start a club.

Hauser - January 18, 2006 06:04 AM (GMT)
You guys suck if you aren't part of the Cocaine Club.

Archie McRiff - January 18, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
You said I was a provisional member, bitch, and until I get a pale coloured suit that will have to sufice.

Ahmed, this club will rule. Now we need groupies. I nominate Steveo and Tempy for starters (and of course the lovely Goonettes). Adolf will be turned away at the door to backstage by our road manager - he's just too heinous. Even fellating the road manager will not convince him to let Adolf in - and that's a method which works for just about everyone.

I have never advocated dressing snappily for daily life.

I'm not surprised, black is quite useful.
