Today is my last day at work.
Well not work in general just the place i have been working the last 17 months. Its hard to believe I have actually been here this long and yet i am still only the new kid. Hell most people didnt even know i was around most of the time...

I hate leaving jobs but always love starting new ones. Its not till you leave a job you really do find out what people thought of you or how much you presence did/didnt mean to them. Or even if you counted... still no-one is irreplaceable and as much as when we are doing a job we might think we are doing the BEST and no-one can do better and we are needed, the simple fact remains .....Life goes on.

A job is simply that. A job.

And sadly once we move on from one place we are no longer part of it so things change... even if you had made friends there. you are no longer part of the "inside" and the situation shifts till eventually ( unless a really strong or close bond was formed) you lose contact with the people you worked with.

Still the best thing about leaving a job is that youre starting a new one and all the new friends/workmates you get to meet and all the new things they bring to your life

What kind of job was that? What sort of jobs have you done?

It was as an office administrator general dogs body for the AUSA. The jobs i have usually done have been in finance.

Oh yea and for the record. I discovered that i wasnt important :cry:

you ARE important, I'd love to see them do stuff without people like you. Its support staff that make the place tick over.

Damn, AUSA losing two top quality people. That's pretty sad.

And yes I know i am important. its not a self esteem issue. i just know i wasnt ever considered part of the team. and these things show when you leave.

AUSA has lost 8 members of staff over the last 4 months.

Many of them are crucial to the success that AUSA has acheived over recent years.

SS leaving leaves a huge hole in the organisation. The position she held turned around during her time in the job. The previous people in her positions were a joke. SS brought so much to her role... and I know that a lot of the remaining staff as well as the University are sad to see her go.

The Exec dont care. They never care. They are at times so self absorbed in how self important they feel they are (which they arent) they forget who does the real work. Their loss. 8 times over and counting

I didn't realise the AUSA was haemorraging staff so hardcore!
