'Carmina Burana' was composed in 13th Century Germany, its Latin lyrics have always been mistaken for a piece of ancient Roman music.

Hence why I said 'style', to cover such pieces.

people actually have little idea of what ancient roman music sounded like. They have some idea of the instruments used, but I don't believe that any representation of the actual music survives (at least in an authentic form)


However, It is well know what the music of John Lennon sounds like, as well as the instruments he used.
