I enjoy the company of other people for the first 30 minutes, then I get extremely bored. It happens to me every fucking time.

But yeah, next time I have something like that I'll try it without videos and see which I prefer.

And really, I suspect that this is the case with most people, hence why people drink at social gatherings- to alleviate the boredom... situations seem less boring when you're tipsy.

I like to combine my socialising with activities for this reason- pub quiz, LAN games, board games, videos, whatever.

I drink because then I can do stuff which will be excused by people saying 'oh dont mind ams, shes tipsy'
whereas, if i was sober, people would just think i was weird.
And i MUCH prefer talking to people than watching movies with them, well, most people anyway. People are interesting.

I heard there's this crazy new thing that people are getting. What are they called again...ummm...it'll come to me in a sec, I'm sure...oh...oh! Friends! Yeah, that's it! Apparently people can talk to these specimens for hours on end and not feel an ounce of boredom...

I think it's a combination of me growing bored easily and other people not being interesting. I thought it might be different this time if I were the host, since then I'd know more people there than I would at someone elses party.

Nah, I think only women or feminine men can talk for hours to friends without getting bored. My phone conversations never last more than 10 minutes.

I can talk for a long time, but only if it's interspersed with other things. You'd be hard pressed to keep a conversation going for several hours, at best you'd have a lot of long silences.

I can talk that long.

It just covers an inexplicable array of bizarre topics.
