I came back from holiday to find my computer heavily infected with spyware thanks to my brother. So I remove all the spyware easily enough. However, in all his wisdom he must have downloaded some retarded program to try and remove it. This program is called spyaxe. I uninstalled it and got rid of it. However i'm now left with some shit on my computer that has the same icon as windowsupdate and sits in the system tray constatly announcing, in the same way windowsupdate announces updates are ready to install, that my computer is infected with spyware and that if I click it windows will download the most up to date anti-spyware for me. Clicking it takes me to the spyaxe website. It also hijacks my browser everytime I open it.

Any ideas?

edit- i've used adaware, spybot and norton, none of them pick it up. It doesn't show up in task manager as far as I can tell, and I can't see it in programs listed to startup.

Solved. This has got to be the nastiest piece of crap i've ever seen. They put a virus and all sorts of crap on your computer, make it almost impossible to remove and barrage you to buy their product to get rid of it.
