Are you pack of softcocks up for a lovely afternoon next week of beer drinking and cricket playing in Albert Park, or another locale relatively accessible to the largest possible pool of players?

In terms of day, I was thinking Wednesday or Thursday, but that's unnecessary until we get some interest!

The problem with that is, thanks to the Auckland City Council, it's Illegal to drink beer in Albert Park. Suggestion: wrap the beer cans with brown paper and use a vivid to rename them "Juice" or something that doesn't sound alcoholic, however that still doesn't guarantee you won't be arrested and charged $500.

Parks close to CBD where there is no liquor ban (yet):
Cornwall Park
Grey Lynn Park
Auckland Domain
Mission Bay (although ban between 10pm and 6am on Thurs - Sunday)

I have work til 530 and probably won't be free til seven. But I am super keen for some cricket at some stage.

The Domain or Cornwall park would be leet. WHERE IS THE FLOOD OF SUPPORT FOR THIS IDEA THAT SHOULD BE HERE?

I mentioned a craccum vs craccum forum cricket game to the guys a month or so ago, and they seemed keen, so maybe i'll have a chat to the groupies and see what they think. I'm keen.

i fail at sports and sports related activities, and i dont like running because it makes you smell yuck. so il probably come along if im not working, and be our cheerleader.

Sounds good to me on all accounts! I would suggest we had a cricket game tomorrow (i.e. monday), but I'm not sure how many people we'd be able to get together for that..

It would most likely, realistically, not happen till maybe next week, once everyone had got a hold of everyone else.

I wonder if Wordlife has read this thread.
