Title: Bigdayout 06
Description: Get ready for lame band announcements
Fez - October 5, 2005 07:57 AM (GMT)
Sorry for my pessimistic attitude but its seems for the past 3 or 4 years the first line up announcement for the BDO has failed to impress me.
White Stripes
Iggy Pop and The Stooges
Franz Ferdinand
Kings Of Leon
Mars Volta
Oh wait its been redeemed, I didnt see this originally
Fucking AFI thats more like it
Sleater-kinney (never heard of em)
The Magic Numbers (ditto)
Soulwax
2MANYDJS
The Living End (theyre still around?)
Gerling
Dei Hamo ()
Fat Freddys Drop
Elemenop
The Bleeders
Che Fu And The Crates
Pluto
Frontline
The Brunettes
Happy Ahmed - October 5, 2005 08:01 AM (GMT)
The lineup sucks. Fucking indie newnewwave pseudointellectual nouveau pop shite.
Bring back AC/DC.
Hannoir - October 5, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
Franz Ferdinand and the White Stripes are playing. That makes me happy.
Steveo - October 6, 2005 03:03 AM (GMT)

Kings Of Leon (awesomeness)
The Living End, takes me back to days of my youth.

Uh, probably gone by then. Never mind.
sdr - October 6, 2005 03:57 AM (GMT)
Mars Volta - fuck yes, I missed them last time too
The Living End - best live act of my youth, twice
Soulwax - I finally have a reason to join the late night boiler room crowd now that I'm into electronic music and know who the fuck acts like this are.
I've been to every BDO since 1999 EXCEPT this year. I'm looking forward to getting back into it.
maniacnymph - October 6, 2005 05:43 AM (GMT)
AFI, Iggy, and The White Stripes!!!!!! fuck yeah! better lineup than last year so far, apart from System of a Down of course.
_Ed_ - October 6, 2005 07:41 AM (GMT)
Love it. White Stripes, Franz, Mars Volta, Living End, Kings of Leon.
Hoping for Maximo Park in the next announcement.

Pssst, have heard that BECK!!!!! may be on the next announcement.
Also, Fez, you're lame. Sum 41?
Sparta won't come
that kinda rhymes. I'm so not awesome
samf - October 6, 2005 11:36 AM (GMT)
Fez, if you like Sum 41, you won't be into Sleater-Kinney.
El Matador - October 6, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
Fez - October 6, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
*cries*
Im surrounded by elitists
samf - October 6, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
I didn't say Sleater-Kinney were better, just different. Although it is an all-girl group, as opposed to Sum 41's angsty crew. :hmm:
templar34 - October 6, 2005 10:29 PM (GMT)
Well, that explains a lot about you now, doesn't it Fez :P?
Hannoir - October 6, 2005 10:37 PM (GMT)

according to a lot of people tool are going to be in the second announcement...and some of the people claiming this are in the know...white stripes and franz ferdinand yay though...
templar34 - October 7, 2005 07:22 AM (GMT)
Tool'd be pretty intense, but it'd be full of fucking 15 year olds who think they're really alternative.
Bloodhound Gang :P?

That would be shit
Mr Lanky Bobs - October 9, 2005 10:12 PM (GMT)
tool would be so much better with the 15 year olds...you just push them into the death pit and watch the pummeling begin...then they toddle off to watch 48 may as they realise its more there level...
and bloodhound gang would be...odd...
Happy Ahmed - October 9, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
Bloodhound gang would be rad.
I went to the last two tool shows and it was a bit rough in the pit but not as bad as I thought. Probably because half of the crowd was either blazed or tripping and were watching the huge screen or the naked people dangling from the ceiling.
Fez - October 10, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
What is all this talk of Bloodhound Gang? They havnt had an album out in ages, I thought they had pretty much died. Then I go to sounds today and see they have a new one out.
 some of those track names made me almost buy it, it very much appeals to the 12 year old humour in me, I will shamfully admit i have Hooray For Boobies.
templar34 - October 10, 2005 10:31 AM (GMT)
I will proudly admit to having both One Fierce beercoaster and Hooray for Boobies.
One Fierce is far superior. Kiss me where it smells funny. Bitch.
Steveo - October 10, 2005 09:12 PM (GMT)
I LOVE Bloodhound Gang, both albums are = awesome. You cant take them seriously, they are along the lines of MSI
