Well whats the haps with the guy? is he dodging death again? or has his time come?
Personally I think its been a long time in the comming........ (not offending any1 thats religious but im just talking about him physically)

I was wondering when this was going to be brought up but didnt' care enough to bring it up myself.
What I find interesting is this whole issue of him needing a feeding tube. It seems the catholic community is going through a rough time.
if they keep him alive with a feeding tube then it is quite hypocritical.
His time has come.

About a month ago I predicted the pope would die this year... looks like he's going to prove me right.

do you have a 6th sense?

Not really, if you look at the Coloumns part of this forum theres a thread there called the "Dead Pool" its a game I found at this hockey forum where you predict famous people that you think will die within the next year, a lot of people at the hockey board had the pope on their lists.

I really wanted him to cark it over Easter. It would have been the icing on the cake really.
I'm just waiting for all the fucking headlines and news stories. I'm sick of it already and he hasn't even died.

Haha....
Well, yeah... I think the pope's days are certainly numbered... according to the news anyway..
Anyway,
What I think is that the next pope wouldnt do nearly as good as Pope John Paul. The current pope has achieved lots in terms of world peace. It'll be interesting to see if the next pope will coninute his steps.

For the next pope:
Either keep the current policies and see christianity morph and splinter
or
Be very brave and change the policies issues such as abortion, contraception and homosexuality, and risk being assasinated.
Under the leadership of John paul and those before him, a lot of close minded christians have been bred.

*looks at the current state of the world and Christianity*
You've been living under a rock haven't you...
Frankly I think the next pope will be just as bad as John Paul.

i reckon there's nothing wrong with 99.9% of the christians atm, it's just the extremists..

just woke up and saw that............... :o :o
liz_shaw - April 2, 2005 11:04 PM (GMT)
I figured as much, last night I saw a headline for an article and it looked like he would die in 24 hours.
AC la - April 3, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
At least he didnt die on 1st April...
Imagine the chaos...
yams - April 3, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
...exciting times...
considering how long he hanged on, he couldve taken it all the way and pulled a PVS with feeding tubes and all. None of his possies would even think of pulling the tube.
Wonder if anyone has ever died of old age while in a coma...

Why would this have been hypocritical? I don't recall the Pope making a big fuss about Schiavo? In fact the catholic church have always been pro-life in every possible aspect i.e. no contraception or abortion. So quite the opposite in fact.
