Joss Wheldon's Firefly a series axed by Fox after 13 episodes comes to the big screen as the movie Serenity. Last nights viewing was one a very few previews shown around the world 2 months prior to its official release in November.

I can't decide if something is wrong with the universe or if something is finally going right. Failed tv shows don't get made into movies, yet here we have Serenity: a movie based on a good sci-fi show that never saw a second season.

They pulled funding from it, and fans everywhere were pissed off enough to donate enough $$$ to finish production, IIRC.

I totally recommend this series.

I accidently caught the first episode on TV3 one evening (which was the pilot shown on Fox...which weirdly was actually the 2nd episode) and next day bought the series on DVD... 13 episodes... quaffed in 3 days.

is it still on? like repeated at 3 in the morning or something?
