Who here enjoys motorsports? Rally Of Nz is next weekend anybody gonna go to any stages?
I don't watch it on tele because I don't watch much tele but I support the rallies. :)
I went. I enjoyed. My 10th Rally Of New Zealand.
In my first year, in 1996, I saw five stages and a service in one day.
This year, the whole day had only six stages, I saw only three, no service, and paid the same amount that I did in 1996.
Rally NZ has been forced to adopt a format which works fine in Europe, but has destroyed the art of spectating. Who would go to see the same stages rallied two days in a row?
If anyone here is getting as annoyed as I am with being herded into 'viewing locations' on stages, and not being allowed to stand anywhere else (in some cases I accept safety but I don't see why the press photographers get to stand on logs right in front of people who pay good money to be there...surely they're just as at risk as we are?) then I suggest you email Morrie Chandler at the Motorsport Association of New Zealand before spectating joins streaking on the long list of kiwi sporting traditions that have been lost to the ages.
oh man.. this is/ was an international event, yet atleast I didnt see any publicity. I guess NZ leans more towards V8s not that anythings wrong with that but NZ Rally needs more publicity!!!
There was plenty of publicity. Spend less time in the real world and more time in the matrix.
