Dr_Steve - September 12, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
well while we're in a 'best of' mood, I thought I'd try this one. Post your favourite song of each decade (lets take it from the 50's to the present).

here's mine:

50's: What'd I say - Ray Charles

60's: A day in the life - Beatles

70's: Imagine - Lennon

80's: Innuendo - Queen

90's: Paranoid Android - Radiohead

00's: Yey Ya! - Outkast

QUOTE (Dr_Steve @ Sep 12 2005, 03:59 AM)
80's: Innuendo - Queen

It was released in 1991, not the 80s :P

hehe I was trying to get away with that. Can you blame me for hating most of the music of the 80's?

and where's everyone else's lists??

I think that Television - Friction should replace Lennon for the 70's, The rest need more thought, but it is definately getting close. I'm having difficulty thinking of anything in the 00's that is more definitive than Hey Ya!

EDIT/ Faith No More - Epic for da 80's

El Matador - September 12, 2005 01:36 PM (GMT)
Dire Straits - Money for Nothing for 80s

Oasis - Champagne Supernova for 90s.

Senor - September 12, 2005 09:42 PM (GMT)
Cindy lauper - girls wanna have fun screams 80s.

Dr_Steve - September 12, 2005 11:36 PM (GMT)
yes it does, but I also hate that song :(

Mr Lanky Bobs - September 12, 2005 11:46 PM (GMT)
off the top of my head and please correct me if i'm wrong for any of the years

60's Satisfaction- The Rolling Stones

70's Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin

80's Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden

90's November Rain- Guns N Roses

00's Lateralus- Tool

El Matador - September 13, 2005 08:43 AM (GMT)
I'd say the song of the 70s would probably have to come from the Madman Across the Water album...Elton John at his finest.
