No personal attacks, no posting of inappropriate material (use the “Fischel-doctrine”, if you are in doubt read the
board rulesSome other things worth noting are that we don’t tolerate “bump-threads”, "how to make a bomb-threads", "where can I score weed-threads" and similar threads. Those will be "jihaded" as we like to say, and very often the offending parties will find themselves with a new avatar for their troubles.
Also, we are asking posters to pay a bit more attention to the CO rules regarding making inflammatory posts. Particularly with regard to the titles of their threads when posting ‘politically sensitive material’. Deliberately inflammatory titles like “That idiot (insert policitician name here) screws up yet again” or “The French are nothing more than *****” are only going to lead to confrontation, harsh words, and personal attacks. That’s why we’d like the posters themselves to take a bit more care in the hope that civil discussions can be had instead of flame wars. Moderators will edit the titles of any threads we feel meet this criteria.
EDIT: Bush can be slagged all you want, hes a cock.
That’s basically it. As you’ve previously read, breaking of certain of these rules will lead to immediate bans. This doesn’t mean the CO Forums will become a Siberian prison camp. That is anything but our intention. But if we’re gonna keep the CO Forums these rules must be followed.
The Spam board is here to provide an outlet to discuss non-craccum related topics. It's a small part of a website whose primary focus is on university life. It's open to users of all ages. Sex and drugs are not suitable topics for discussion here. This also includes any illegal acts such as violation of copyright laws. While these topics appear in the news all the time, they do not belong on CO. There's a fine line where those subjects can be safely discussed, and we're not interested in drawing it. There's a multitude of other topics that can be discussed with no problem.
EDIT: Copyright and Illegal activities such as music and file sharing is fine.
